a mean annual temperature of approximately 20°C and over 300 days of
sunshine a year. Temperatures rarely fall below 5°C in the winter months
and can reach a scorching 40°C in the summer. For great views of the coastline, it is possible to take a boat from Benidorm to Calpe. There are plenty of water sports to participate in and opportunities to hire boats, different aquatic ski activities or take a diving course. Benidorm is located in the northern Costa Blanca and can be accessed via the AP-7 motorway or the N332 coast road. It lies between Villajoyosa and Altea and is easily reached from both El Altet, Alicante airport and Manises, Valencia airport.

up until the 1950's when it became a popular beach holiday destination.
Benidorm's early history abounds in stories of Arab invaders, pirate
attacks and Christian reconquests.
